About you

We're looking for an experienced Legal Assistant who is excited to take on a group support and coordination role, while being hands on supporting a number of Partners and Lawyers in a dynamic, commercial real estate practice.

Your strong work ethic and drive to consistently deliver outstanding service in a timely manner will be highly regarded. You are adept at building relationships and bringing out the best in people to ensure effective and efficient operations. You will enjoy working in a close-knit team that participates in regular social activities to create an engaging and supportive team environment.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5 years or more administration experience in the legal sector.
  • Exposure to coordinating a team of administration and support staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive can-do attitude with a strong client and team focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using a document management system and PEXA.
  • A true interest and drive to continue learning and engaging with the legal and property industry.
Your role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Real Estate & Construction group, producing quality work for quality clients. You will work together with Legal Assistants to provide support to a number of Partners and Lawyers at all levels in a positive and collegiate environment.  In joining this team you will gain exposure to a variety of clients, projects and teamwork.

Supporting a number of Partners and Lawyers in a well-established practice, you will be responsible for:
  • Assisting the Group Leader and Partners in the day to day management of the group's operations and administration.
  • Proactively managing workflow across Legal Assistants to ensure seamless service delivery for the group.
  • Arranging group meetings, events and activities.
  • Sharing knowledge and providing training to enhance capability and system knowledge for Legal Assistants and support staff.
  • Coordinating office arrangements for new employees and internal transfers.
  • Monthly billing and reporting.
  • Liaising with clients and diary management.
  • Document management.
  • Conducting property related searches
  • Carrying out electronic settlements and registrations.
  • General administrative duties and support as required.
