Qualifications & experience
- Excellent organisational skills including time management.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Technology skills with computer literacy in :LEAP and Word.
- 3 - 5 years legal secretary experience highly regarded.
- Experience in conveyancing, wills and estates and commercial leasing preferred.
- Strong ethics in handling sensitive legal confidential case documents and information.
- Experience with LEAP Legal Software preferred.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors in preparation of legal documents including conveyancing contracts, court documents, commercial leases, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship and estate documents.
- General dictation.
- Filing correspondence and documents.
- Communicating with clients, solicitors and real estate agents via email, phone or in person.
- Assist with reception duties including liaising with clients.
- Arrange for deeds and other documents from various sources.
- Lodge safe custody documents.
- Manage office supplies.
