Qualifications & experience

  • Excellent organisational skills including time management.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Technology skills with computer literacy in :LEAP and Word.
  • 3 - 5 years legal secretary experience highly regarded.
  • Experience in conveyancing, wills and estates and commercial leasing preferred.
  • Strong ethics in handling sensitive legal confidential case documents and information.
  • Experience with LEAP Legal Software preferred.

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assisting solicitors in preparation of legal documents including conveyancing contracts, court documents, commercial leases, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship and estate documents.
  • General dictation.
  • Filing correspondence and documents.
  • Communicating with clients, solicitors and real estate agents via email, phone or in person.
  • Assist with reception duties including liaising with clients.
  • Arrange for deeds and other documents from various sources.
  • Lodge safe custody documents.
  • Manage office supplies.
